PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent ignition even when a current flows to a defrosting heater under the condition that there is a refrigerant leakage from a cooler. SOLUTION: This refrigerator is provided with storage chambers 6, 7 such as a freezing chamber or a refrigerating chamber; a cooler 11 provided behind the storage chambers; and a defrosting heater 16 provided below the cooler 11. A refrigerant circuit including the cooler 11 is filled with a combustible refrigerant. In this constitution, a reflecting plate 15 is installed in a heat contact state at the lower part of the cooler 11, that is, the cooler 11 comprises side plates 11A arranged at both ends, a large number of cooling fins 11B and a cooling tube 11C, and the side plates 11A at both ends and the alternate cooling fins 11B have downward extended parts which are provided with cutouts 14 of inverted U-shape. A reflecting plate 15 of inverted U-shaped cross section is connected by caulking to these cutouts 14 and installed in a heat contact state. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
