PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To temporarily fix a metal gasket to an object to be installed with different thicknesses at all times and securely. SOLUTION: In a temporarily fixing structure of the metal gasket, the metal gasket for making a metal plate 1 a composite material is temporarily fixed to a flange 5 as the object to be installed, which has a front face 5a as a face to be sealed by the metal gasket. A plurality of bending parts 6 extending halfway of an inner perimeter of a bolt hole 5c extending at right angles to the front face 5a of the flange 5 are provided at the metal plate 1, and sandwiching the flange 5 coming in contact with the inner perimeter.
