PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester containing metal components other than antimony and germanium as main metal components, which is improved in filter clogging upon molding, and also to provide a production method of the polyester. SOLUTION: The polyester is produced by addition of a phosphorus compound.
