PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a change replenishment system and method for preparing for money changing or providing change reserve fund without requiring any labor or time, and for increasing security associated with cash transfer, and for reducing costs for preparing for the money changing or providing the change reserve fund. SOLUTION: This change replenishment system is provided with: a POS register 10 set in a store 100 for housing change and sales; a packed coin processor 20 set in the store 100 for communicating with the POS register 10, and for discharging packed coins for replenishment to be used for replenishing coins to the POS register 10; an automatic teller machine 30 set in the store 100 for ejecting paper money to be used for replenishing paper money into the POS register 10; a financial institute side computer 200 for communicating with the automatic cash teller machine; and a host computer 300 for communicating with the POS register.
