<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for reducing noise in the packet communication of digital image data. <P>SOLUTION: In the digital image communication of communicating the image data of an interlace scanning system by packets, in order to reduce the noise relating to a horizontal scanning line having a given horizontal scanning line number within a certain given field, transmitted successive packets are received (400). Then, in the case that part of the successive packets is absent (406), the absence packet part is interpolated (410).
