PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens system for reliably preventing unpredicted situations such as power failure by limiting a current to respective motors so as to make the total sum of the currents suppliable to the respective motors be equal to or smaller than the maximum current value suppliable from a power source in driving the motors of a plurality of drive systems. SOLUTION: The main microcomputer 16 of a lens device 10 detects the drive systems in which motor drive is valid, considers the number of the drive systems or the like, decides a current limit value suppliable to the motors of the respective drive systems and transmits the limit value to servo modules 18A and 18B, etc., incorporating the respective motors.
