<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink composition which yields recorded matters showing excellent resistance to scuffing and scratching. <P>SOLUTION: The ink composition contains a resin, water, a colorant and a wax, wherein the resin is prepared by adjusting with an inorganic base the pH of a copolymer having an acid value of ≤40 which is obtained by polymerizing an ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid monomer and other monomers copolymerizable with this in the presence of an alcoholic hydroxyl group- containing water-soluble polymer compound or a copolymerizable surfactant. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
