LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY CARRYING OUT BOTH OF IMAGE DISPLAY MODE AND FINGERPRINT RECOGNITION MODE

PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display carrying out both of an image display mode and a fingerprint recognition mode is provided to integrate a liquid crystal display with a fingerprint recognition system. CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal display includes a scan driver(610), a data driver(612), a switch controller(616), a reading unit(618), a sensor thin film transistor(614), and a switch thin film transistor. The scan driver selectively outputs turn on and turn off signals in an image display mode and outputs the turn off signal in a fingerprint recognition mode. The data driver outputs a data signal in the image display mode. The switch controller outputs the turn off signal in the image display mode and selectively outputs the turn on and turn off signals in the fingerprint recognition mode. The reading unit outputs read fingerprint image information in the fingerprint recognition mode. The liquid crystal in the image display mode. The gate of the switch thin film transistor is connected to the output terminal of the switch controller, one end of the channel of the switch thin film transistor is connected to the other end of the channel, and the other end of the channel is connected to the input terminal of the reading unit.
