<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To update the setting information of an image forming device with setting information stored in a server in simple configuration. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming device 1 is provided with a setting information storage means 3 for storing various kinds of setting information, a setting information management means 4 for performing the read/write of the setting information to the setting information storage means 3 and an HTTP control means 2 for using an HTTP as a communication protocol. The setting information management means 4 requests a connection to a server 52 via the HTTP control means 2 in response to the operation of an operation means 12 or the like, requests sending of the setting information and updates the setting information storage means 3 with the setting information sent from the server. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
