<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air cleaner having excellent air cleaning efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: This air cleaner comprises a cylindrical element 1 opening at both ends and having a specified space, an illuminating light source 2 generating an updraft in the specified space, an air cleaning function means 4 arranged along a flow passage of the draft and having photocatalysts for cleaning air to be cleaned, a second draft generating means 5 generating another draft on a surface of the air cleaning function means 4 while moving in the specified space, and a ultraviolet lamp 8 irradiating ultra violet rays to the photocatalysts of the air cleaning function means 4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
