<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process cartridge equipped with a developing device for forming a stable image from an initial stage even in the case where the material characteristics of toner are changed due to various temperature hysteresis in the time of manufacturing a developing device, at the transport to a user's site, and at the storage environment shange, and to provide developer used for the developing device. <P>SOLUTION: As for a process cartridge 20 equipped with a developing device 22 for performing toner concentration control with a small amount of developer, the developing device 22 is provided with a temperature detecting means 12, and the temperature in a period until the developing device is loaded to the image forming apparatus 29 after the developing device is manufactured is detected by the temperature detecting means 12, and a time for stirring the toner by a toner stirring member 9 in a toner hopper 8 is changed when the device is loaded to the process cartridge 20 or the image forming apparatus 29 on the basis of the temperature hysteresis information detected by the temperature detecting means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
