<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the horizontal dimension of a developing device, and also, to attain a developed image of high image quality, as to a developing device wherein two-component developer is supplied to a developing roller along the longitudinal direction of the developing roller while being stirred, carried and circulated. <P>SOLUTION: A developer draw-up area (upper part) for drawing up the developer to the developing roller and a separating area (lower part) for separating the developer from the developing roller after a developing process are arranged around the developing roller 302, and the forward and backward paths of the developer are constituted by arranging screw type stirring carrying members 304 (upper) and 305 (lower) near respective areas, and a space between the respective stirring members are partitioned by a partitioning plate at the center part other than both longitudinal end parts of the developing roller, and also, a developer circulation path is constituted by connecting the forward path 11 and the backward path 12 through a draw-up path 13 and a descending path 14 near the both end parts of the partitioning plate, and the developer is supplied, stirred and carried through the forward path 11. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
