<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress influence on a fiber coupling output and to inhibit fluctuation of the output, even with variance of gaps G from the tip end of an optical plug inserted into an optical jack to an optical element inside the optical jack. <P>SOLUTION: The optical element 40 is arranged at a position where the optical axis L2 of the optical element 40 inside the optical jack 30 deviates from the optical axis L1 of the optical plug 20 inserted into the optical jack 30. More specifically, the optical axis L2 of the optical element 40 in the optical jack 30 is shifted in translation in a direction perpendicular to the optical axis L1 of the optical plug 20. By the deviation of the optical axes L1, L2, the absolute level of the fiber coupling output is lowered but, the fluctuation of the fiber coupling output, which is caused by the variance of the gaps G from the tip end of the optical plug 20 inserted into the optical jack 30 to the optical element 40 inside the optical jack 30, is suppressed. The lowering of the fiber coupling output is recovered by the improvement of characteristics of the optical element 40. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
