<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation system having a function for enabling a user to pay to the navigation system based on usage. <P>SOLUTION: The navigation system is disclosed, where it includes a calculation platform having map data that are locally installed and a navigation application. The use of the calculation platform is monitored and reported to a mechanism that is remotely arranged via a radio communication system. The mechanism that is remotely arranged processes filling an end user based on the utilization of the navigation system.
