PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magneto-optical recording medium which can be subjected to an annealing treatment at lower annealing power and a method for an annealing treatment. SOLUTION: The magneto-optical recording medium is obtained by subjecting the recording medium to the annealing treatment, then laminating a heat radiation layer on a dielectric layer.
