PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article for cleaning of which the fibers are not excessively electrostatically charged and can be collected without causing any difficulty in the production line and which, as a product, can retain a suitable electrostatically charged state capable of adsorbing dust or dirt by static electricity. SOLUTION: The fibers used for the article 1 for cleaning are coated with a nonionic surfactant mixture which contains 45-76 mass% polyoxyethylene (POE) monoester of a 5-15C fatty acid and at least one surfactant selected from among a POE monoester of a 16-22C saturated fatty acid, a POE monoester of a 16-22C unsaturated fatty acid, a POE diester of a 16-22C unsaturated fatty acid, and a POE diester of a 12-15C saturated fatty acid.
