PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas-barrier, heat-shrinkable adhesive tape which may effectively retain its gas-exchanging action over a long time and a process for manufacturing a gas-exchange package. SOLUTION: The gas-barrier, heat-shrinkable adhesive tape comprises a gas-barrier substrate layer and an acrylic or rubber adhesive layer, wherein the gas-barrier substrate layer shows a heat shrinkage in the longitudinal direction of ≥15% at 140°C and an oxygen gas permeability of 1.0-1974.0 ml/m<SP>2</SP>day/ MPa, and the adhesive layer has an adhesive strength of 0.1-10 N/cm.
