PURPOSE: A system and method for the discount network using the Internet are provided to collect member stores and members continuously, enable the member to use all member stores using a membership card, and enable the member store to increase a sale by removing a restriction of joining a member store. CONSTITUTION: A member managing database(310) stores member information such as an ID, a password, a compensation supply account, and so on. A member store managing database(330) stores member store information such as a discount rate and a related business category. A business category management database(340) stores business categories. A member joining unit(S10) stores member information in the member managing database(310), requests, and approves a member joining process. A member store joining unit(S20) stores member store information in the member store managing database(330), requests, and approves a member store joining process. A compensation managing unit(S30) inquires compensation accumulation information and a compensation supply condition according as a member collects new member, and stores compensation supply details. A business category classification managing unit(S40) stores and inquires member store business category classification information in the business category management database(340). A member information managing unit(S60) modifies and stores member information and inquires a publicizing relation among members. A member store information managing unit(S70) modifies and stores member store information, a discount rate, and an event information.
