PURPOSE: A system and method for managing contents transmission network being participated by consumer are provided to select the optimum contents transmission server exactly and close a contents transmission process into the minimum distance by enabling a contents consumer to recognize position information of a consumer and various personal information in advance actively. CONSTITUTION: A contents server(200) includes a web site for distributing a booster(110). A branch(300) includes a plurality of cache servers and contents servers for receiving contents from the contents server(200) in advance and transmitting the contents to the computer terminal(100) of the consumer at the optimum adjacent position actually. A contents managing server(400) distributes the contents and updates the contents with respect to the branch(300). The contents managing server(400) registers and stores personal information of the consumer for resetting a request of contents transmission as the desired branch in accordance with a changed contents transmission policy. The contents managing server(400) synchronizes the contents transmission policy of the booster(110) for a consumer with the changed contents transmission policy.
