PURPOSE:A method for inserting information data of a security still image and a method for controlling a DVR(Digital Video Recorder) system using the same are provided to preserve the original form of evidence and transmit information related to the evidence without correction. CONSTITUTION:A data format of a security image is formed to include an image header information storage area, an image data storage area, and an information data insertion area of the security image. The image header information storage area includes information related to transmission/compression of the corresponding image data and information related to identification of the corresponding image. The image data storage area stores original image data generated by security equipments. The information data insertion area stores picture display information related to the original image data. A security still image(41) having image information by image information placed at an end of an image file is generated. In the case of searching with a general image viewer, only a security still image(42) not having image information is confirmed. In the case of using an exclusive image viewer, a security still image(43) having image information is displayed without damage of the image.
