PURPOSE: A hanger device for carrying a vehicle body is provided to clamp or unclamp the vehicle body with automatically opening or closing an arm by up and down movements of the position of the hanger to the operations of a hoist and accordingly to perform works with only one operator who installs the hanger to the vehicle body and considerably reduce labor cost. CONSTITUTION: A hanger device for carrying a vehicle body(100) is composed of a main frame(20) working upward and downward to the operations of a hoist(110); two lift arms(21), which are supported to both ends of the main frame in a hinge structure, rotating inwardly and outwardly and hanging the sides of the vehicle body; a pair of cables(22) opening or closing each lift arm with being pulled or returned to the up and down movement of the position of the main frame; a plurality of rollers(23) for guiding the progress of cables; and an arm rotation member(24) supported to the main frame to slide up and down and controlling the motion of the lift arm through the cables with copulatively working with the cables.
