PURPOSE: An organic electroluminescence device and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to reduce costs and the process time, while achieving improved matching stability at the boundary between the insulation film and barrier rib. CONSTITUTION: An organic electroluminescence device comprises a transparent electrode(34) formed on a substrate(32); an insulation film(36) formed on the transparent electrode; a barrier rib(38) formed on the insulation film; an organic light emitting layer(40) formed on the transparent electrode excluding the region where the insulation film is formed; and a metal electrode formed on the organic light emitting layer. The insulation film and the barrier rib are simultaneously formed.
