MANUFACTURING METHOD FOR CARBIDE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To expand the use of activated carbon and to achieve cost reduction.

SOLUTION: Organic waste such as agriculture and forestry waste or the like is used as a material to be carbonized becoming a raw material of a carbide. This organic waste is dried in a drying treatment process S1 and the dried organic waste is ground to be formed into a powder in a powdering process S2. Next, the powdered organic waste is mixed with a binder comprising wastewater treatment sludge in a mixing process S3. The organic waste mixed with the wastewater treatment sludge is granulated by a granulator 2 in a granulation process S4 and the granulated mixture is carbonized in a carbonization process S5 to manufacture the carbide. Since the wastewater treatment sludge is used as the binder, a carbide manufacturing cost is reduced.
