<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high quality image from a frame where a properly exposed scene and an over/under exposed scene coexist. <P>SOLUTION: As for each pixel configuring digital image data in each color fetched from the frame image of a photographic film, the pixel where the luminance value of each color is lower than a threshold α is set as an under exposure pixel, and the pixel where the luminance value of each color is higher than a threshold β is set as an over exposure pixel. As for the frame image, the area where the number of the filled under exposure pixels or over exposure pixels is larger than a threshold ψ is set as an under exposure area or over exposure area. Furthermore, as for the luminance value of each color in each pixel in the under exposure area or over exposure area, blurring processing is executed to the pixel under consideration by referring to the luminance value of each color in the peripheral pixel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
