PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable toilet which can deform human waste (solid waste) accumulated in a mountain form. SOLUTION: The portable toilet is provided with a rotary shaft body 12 which is installed hangingly in a rotatable manner inside an excreta container 5 below a floor provided with a toilet bowl and supported at a specific height from an installing surface so as to be placed below and corresponding to the toilet bowl, a helical guiding shaft body 30 which is installed horizontally along the bottom surface of the excreta container with an end of the shaft corresponding to the bottom end of the rotary shaft body and provided with a helical wing 33 helically wound around the outer periphery in an axial direction, a rotation transmitting means 31 which transmits the rotation of the rotary shaft body to a helical guiding shaft body, and a gutter-shaped guiding member 34 disposed along the axial direction of helical guiding shaft body and receives the helical guiding shaft body from below. The rotation of the rotary shaft body 12 is transmitted to the helical guiding shaft body 30 and the rotation of the helical guiding shaft body 30 constitutes a transfer guiding route towards the bottom end side of the rotary shaft body 12 from the shaft end side.
