The unit consists of a support (5) for spectacle lens templates (6) in the form of a plate rotating about an axis perpendicular to its surface, and a template machining tool (10) that moves in a plane perpendicular to the axis, with a system (8) to control the rotation of the support and the movement of the tool. The templates have holes in them that engage with projecting tips on the support, which is rotated by a motor controlled by an electronic card processor. A second motor (9-2) controls the movement of the tool.
