<p>Sealing medium (4) is constituted of a strip member, the strip member composed of strip-form core capable of elastic deformation (1) and metal layer (2) covering at least portion of the core, together with adhesive (3). Substrates (5, 6) are coupled with each other by means of the sealing medium (4), thereby obtaining a mount device having a functional element, such as organic EL element (12), sealed between the substrates. Shielding performance of the metal layer against oxygen and moisture is enhanced by the effect of the core, so that the thus produced mount device, such as an organic EL device, is excellent in the durability and reliability of mounted functional element.</p> |
