<p>Slot nozzle arrangement provides the advantages of the slot nozzle combined with those of the calender and features a pair of rolls separated by a small distance in front of the nozzle gap. These are driven in opposite directions and have a width which corresponds at least to the width of the nozzle gap, the latter terminating directly in front of the roller gap.</p>
