CONTROL OF BIODEGRADABILITY OF COMPOSITE BIOMATERIAL

摘要

A method for controlling the speed of decomposition of a composite biomaterial comprising a calcium salt especially, hydroxyapatite and collagen in a living organism which comprises introducing cross-links to the collagen and a biomaterial prepared by using of the method. The method allows the achievement of the absorptivity in a living organism of the above composite biomaterial suitable to an artificial bone with the retention of a satisfactory mechanical strength.
