The invention relates to a buried container for electrical, electronic and similar equipment. The inventive container is of the type in which the aforementioned equipment can be removed therefrom in order to be directly accessible from the ground during maintenance operations. Said container consists of a fixed body comprising a cover which can be moved vertically in relation to said body. The aforementioned body is characterised in that the means for moving and guiding said cover are housed inside the container and the supports for the electrical and/or electronic equipment rest on a surface which moves with the cover when said cover is raised.
