The deforming process involves cutting the can or bottle in one or more press punches (14) with cutters on the pressing surface (19) and then deforming it so that part of the can bottom (16) is pressed into another part of the can (10). This forms a beaker-shaped, partly double-walled pressed product (25). The pressed products can be stacked inside each other.
