It becomes possible to detect and quantify an mRNA encoding a protein p120, which is localized in synapses and strongly bonded to cellular skeleton, and p120. Moreover, it is clarified that p120 serves as a scaffold for localizing RIM1 in synapses and contributes as a molecular basis to the formation of the active zone.
