Isolated nucleic acids molecules, designated 46828 nucleic acid molecules, which encode AMP-binding enzymes, and in particular acyl-CoA synthases are disclosed. The invention provides methods of modulating the differentiation, proliferation, and/or inducing the cell killing of 46828-expressing hyperproliferative cells, e.g., 46828-expressing malignant cells from the lung, colon and ovaries. The invention further provides methods of treating, preventing and diagnosing solid tumors, soft tissue tumors, and/or metastatic lesions. |
