<p>An optical recording medium (D) has a spiral track (T), and the track (T) has a plurality of first and second areas (Ta) and (Tb) of which at least either of the width and the depth is different. First areas (Ta) form an overlap part (11) where the starting part and the other part are located on adjacent tracks respectively and overlap with each other. Second areas (Tb) also form an overlap part (12) having a similar structure thereto. A beam spot can easily be circulated on the same track of the optical recording medium (D) in an idling mode.</p> |
