The invention relates to the transalkylation method of benzene and C9 + aromatic hydrocarbons which was not disclosed in the prior art. This method is also useful for convering the C10+ heavy aromatic hydrocarbons to toluene and C8 aromatics. In this method, in the presence of a zeolite/alumina composite as a catalyst, under hydrgen atmosphere, the raw material of benzene and C9 + aromatic hydrocarbons can be efficiently converted to toluene and C8 aromatic hydrocarbons in a fixed-bed reactor under the following operating conditions temp: 300-600OC; pressure: 1.0-6.OMpa; the ratio of H2/hydrocarbons: 1-15; and weight hourly space velocity (WHSV): 0.5-5.Oh1. The catalyst comprises alumina and zeolite having silica/alumina ratio of 3-500,in which the zeolite is loaded with the metal Mo or/and its oxide and optionally at least one metal selected from iron, cobalt, nickel, chromium, tungsten, bismuth, lanthanum, zirconium, silver or/and its oxide. The catalyst has high activity, good stability and high selectivity of the target products. The method can be used in the industrial production of aromatics. |
