Wet laid webs of cellulose fibers are treated with a fiber treatment composition that includes a polysaccharide. The polysaccharide is introduced into the web using a fiber treatment composition and a process that produces a wet laid web that exhibits desirable tackiness properties between adjacent sheets and within the web. Airlaid webs produced from the wet laid webs of the present invention are useful in absorbent articles such as diapers, feminine hygiene products, and wipes. <IMAGE> |
