The invention relates to an accessory and method which are used to produce inflatable toys or balloons, said inflatable toy being made from preferably metallised mylar, nylon, polyester or polypropylene films or laminations of same. The inventive method consists in folding a rectangular section along the length thereof. Subsequently, an adhesive tape is used at the tubular part thereof in order to shape and structure the toy and a heat seal is also provided from which the conical point or the variants thereof extend. Said inflatable toy, which is made from preferably metallised mylar, nylon, polyester or polypropylene, has the appearance of a space rocket as it comprises a cylindrical tubular body. The upper end of the aforementioned tubular body is closed in such a way that said end comes to a point so that the toy is aerodynamic once inflated, which enables same to fly and glide. The lower end of the cylindrical body is open so that the toy can be inflated and is, in turn, twisted in order to form a base on which the toy can bounce. Said tubular body is not heat sealed but is joined longitudinally using a flap that extends from the longitudinal ends thereof and on which a particularly wide adhesive tape is positioned. A pressure cut is applied to the adhesive tape in order to ensure that it is as impervious as possible. Preferably, said adhesive strip is transparent and should comprise no wrinkles or channels. The cylindrical body can take the form of angular and helical undulations.
