The receptacle (2), especially for foodstuff, has two chambers (6) each with an opening closed by a lid (8), which overlapping are fastened to one another. The openings are of the same size, as are the chambers. Each lid is resealable. The lids are fastened together by magnetic force (20) or by adhesive. A carrying and/or holding device (10,12,14) is fitted between or on the lids. The outer walls of the chambers are thermally insulated.
