Cosmetics characterized by comprising the following components A to E and exhibiting the property of making water run down in an instant: A 7 to 30 % by mass of at least one nonvolatile oil exhibiting a kinematic viscosity of 5 to 1000 mm2/s at 25 °C, B 0.2 to 5 % by mass of at least one water-repellent resin powder having a primary particle diameter ranging from 2 to 20mum, C 0.1 to 6 % by mass of at least one oil-soluble silicone resin, D 20 to 60 % by mass of a volatile solvent component except water comprising at least one volatile solvent whose boiling point at 1 atm is 200 °C or below, and E 12 to 30 % by mass of at least one pigment surface-treated with a water repellent. The property of making water run down in an instant is so stable as to little depend on temperature, and the cosmetics have also excellent endurance and touch and long lasting ultraviolet-screening effect.
