<p>The invention aims at providing yellow-emitting compounds being novel substances which can emit yellow in spite of their being each a single compound; a process by which the novel yellow-emitting compounds can be easily produced; yellow-emitting devices containing the yellow-emitting compounds; and white-emitting devices containing combinations of the above yellow-emitting compounds and blue-emitting compounds. The invention relates to yellow-emitting compounds represented by the general formula (1), a process for the production thereof, and light-emitting devices made by using the yellow-emitting compounds: (1) wherein Ar is a substituent represented by the general formula (2), (4) or (5) and the two Ars may be the same or different from each other; R1 is hydrogen or alkyl having 1 to 5 carbon atoms and the two R1s may be the same or different from each other; and R1a is hydrogen or alkyl having 1 to 5 carbon atoms and the two R1as may be the same or different from each other.</p> |
