Method for construction of a clamping device for clamping of associated components. Accordingly a CAD program is used with a library of clamping components from which a concrete clamping device is constructed. The construction history is stored with the clamping device CAD file so that tolerances can be determined. The component to be clamped is inserted in CAD format into the clamping device so that it can be matched to it.
