Substances with a boiling point below 100degreesC which are inert towards isocyanates and do not destroy ozone are used in polyol formulations for rigid polyurethane foam, based on the reaction products of aromatic compounds, aldehydes and/or ketones and prim. or sec. amines. Rigid polyurethane foam, obtained by reacting (a) an isocyanate component with (b) a component with a flash point (DIN EN 22719) of below 55degreesC, containing (b1) substance(s) with a boiling point below 100degreesC which are inert towards isocyanate and do not destroy ozone, (b2) a reaction product of aromatic compound(s), aldehyde(s) and/or ketone(s) and prim. or sec. amine(s), and optionally (b3) isocyanate-reactive component(s) with polyester groups, (b4) other NCO-reactive compounds and/or (b5) additives required for foam production. An Independent claim is also included for polyol formulations (b) as described above.
