A method for manufacturing a sheeting, wherein only one metal layer (2) is provided by unrolling a metal sheet (11) from a metal sheet supply roller (14), wherein liquid, curable synthetic resin and fibrous material (10) are applied to the metal layer (2) in at least one layer (3), whereupon the synthetic resin is cured for forming at least one fiber reinforced plastic layer (3). The invention further provides an apparatus for manufacturing a sheeting, wherein the apparatus is provided with application means (17, 19) which are designed for applying fibrous material (10) and liquid, curable synthetic resin in at least one layer (3) to a side of a metal sheet (11). <IMAGE>
