An encapsulated light source which comprises high intensity light emitting diodes (LED) 1 suitable for mounting within a dioptic lens navigation lamp 2 in order, in use, to emit a beam of light. The light source may provide sectors of red, green and white light or a white light. The colour may be provided by coloured LEDs or by coloured areas of lens. |
