Drive assembly for open-end spinning machines

A textile machine has a rotor spinning unit with a brake and locking-lever (23). A locking detent (44) is esp. located in the immediate vicinity of the lever (23) and corresponds with an arresting roller (45) located on a cover plate (11). The rotor further has shock-absorption unit (17, 21, 31) in the vicinity of a pushrod (14). The shock-absorption (17, 21, 31) unit works esp. in conjunction with a tension roller (8) preventing shock transfer to the locking-lever (23). The spinning rotor is driven by a tangential belt. The rotor has a brake operated by a pushrod linked to a tensioning wheel. When the spinning unit opens, the tensioning wheel is automatically lifted from the tangential belt and the brake is applied.
