USB-telephone, method and graphical interface for operating such a telephone

The device (10) has a handset (12) and a base part (14) with a universal serial bus (USB) interface for use with a computer with an input device for operating a Computer Telephony Integration ( CTI) application. The base part has a controller, a display (20,22,24,26) and buttons (16,18,20,22) so telephone operating functions can be optionally activated by the buttons or the input device. An operating state of the telephone can be displayed on the display and on a computer screen. An Independent claim is also included for the following: a method of operating a CTI application.
