The machine for wrapping stacked articles with stretch film comprises a trolley (6) on which a vertical tube (8) is mounted. A retaining plate (7) fits against the base of a roll (1) of film on the tube. The plate can be moved to different heights on the tube using a cable which passes through the tube and up though the handle (11) of the trolley.
