<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat-sensitive recording material which improves the dispersion of a specified electron-receptive compound and shows an excellent image quality and a best suitability for manufacture. <P>SOLUTION: In the heat-sensitive recording material structured of at least one heat-sensitive recording layer and a protecting layer sequentially formed on a support, at least one layer which is the heat-sensitive recording layer contains an electron-donative dye precursor and an electron-receptive compound. In addition, in a dispersion step of an electron-receptive compound, the heat- sensitive recording material contains a chemical compound represented by formula (1) (R is a hydrophobic group or a hydrophobic polymer and n is an integer of 4 to 20) and falls within the pH range of 8.5 to 9.7 after the dispersion step. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
