PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container which can protect a tubular article against shocks and vibrations without needing a cushioning medium and is easy to manufacture and recycle. SOLUTION: The container for receiving the tubular article includes barrel support blocks 13 having a V-shaped supporting face 15 for supporting a peripheral surface of a barrel of the tubular article 12 to suppress movement of the article in the rolling direction and end surface support blocks 14 having a planar supporting face 18 for supporting both end surfaces of the article 12 to suppress the movement of the article in the axial direction. The barrel support block 13 has a slit 17 extending along the V-shaped supporting face on a suspending wall 16 for holding the supporting face 15, while the end surface supporting block 14 has a slit 20 on the planar supporting face or its suspending wall.
