<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a writing instrument with a cap having a clip with which when the cap is fixed to a rear end of a barrel, the clip can be brought close to a side face of the cap and it is not necessary to provide a means for preventing the barrel from removing from the cap at the rear end of the barrel. <P>SOLUTION: When a mount opening of the cap is put on a writing end of the barrel, a tip of the barrel thrusts a shaft to move a protrusion of a slide to a position for separating the clip to cause the clip to separate from the side face of the cap. When the cap is released from the writing end of the barrel, an elastic body elastically drives the slide to move the protrusion of the slide to a clip waiting position, to cause the clip to come close to the side face of the cap. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
